Steps to follow when receiving an error 'Out of Memory'

You can try the following steps for Out of memory issue or you can reach out to your IT team.

  1. Close any tabs you are not using and Close any other programs running on your computer to free up system resources.
  2. Sometimes simply closing and reopening Chrome can solve memory issues.
  3. Make sure you are using the latest version of Chrome. Go to Settings > About Chrome to check for updates
  4. Clearing your cache and cookies can free up memory. Go to Settings > Privacy and security > Clear browsing data, then select "Cached images and files" and "Cookies and other site data".
  5. Some extensions can consume a lot of memory. Try disabling extensions you don't need by going to chrome://extensions/.
  6. Chrome has a built-in task manager that shows how much memory each tab and extension is using. Open it by clicking the three dots in the upper right, then More tools > Task Manager. End processes that are using too much memory.
  7. If you're on Windows, increasing the size of your pagefile can help. Go to Control Panel > System and Security > System > Advanced system settings > Settings (under Performance) > Advanced > Virtual memory > Change. Increase the size of the paging file.
  8. Resetting Chrome to its default settings can help. Go to Settings > Advanced > Reset settings > Restore settings to their original defaults.
