Setting Up TCR Activities and Prospects

In order to properly use the Prospects and Activities module, you first have to setup Activity Actions:

Activity Actions:

There are three categories of Activity Actions:  Phone Call, Appointment, and Task.  You can create Actions within each Activity category, along with a default Follow-Up Activity and Actions.  Here is how to set them up:

  1. Go to ‘Settings’ then ‘Activity Actions’

2.Click on ‘Add New’

3.Enter the Activity Type (either Phone Call, Appointment, or Task). You can then add an Action of your choosing (50 character limit). These Actions will now be available in the ‘Follow Up’ drop down menu.

4.You can add a Follow Up Activity and Follow Up Action to each of these Activity Actions. These will be your defaults when setting up Activity Actions for your Prospects, but can be changed or deleted at the Prospect level later. 

5.Note:  The ‘Follow up Action’ drop down menu only lists current Activity Actions in the system.  If you need a new ‘Follow up Action’ it must first be added in the main ‘Activity Actions’ screen.

Business Types:

Although Business Types are optional when creating a new Prospect, they can be useful for sorting and organizing.  Here is how to add the different Business Types:

 

  1. Go to ‘Settings’ then ‘Business Types’
  2. Select ‘Add New’

3.Enter the business types/industries of your potential customers (50 Character Limit)
